Independence Art
Art 6
This nine-week course focuses on the study of aesthetic, art criticism,
art history and art production. Studio skill development is emphasized
in drawing, sculpture and crafts. Students examine the importance
of art in their own and other societies and identify some of the
influences that art forms from the past have upon art forms of the
present. |
Art 7
This nine week course focuses on the study of aesthetics, art criticism,
art history, and art production. Studio skill development is emphasized
in drawing, painting, and printmaking. The historical emphasis is
upon world art in the 19th and 20th centuries.

This semester course focuses on the study of aesthetics, art criticism,
art history, and art production. Studio skill development is emphasized
in drawing, painting, sculpture and crafts. Students examine Western
and non-Western art to determine influences various cultures have
had upon each other. The impact of technology on historic and current
art forms is also examined. |
