Hi, I'm Ms. Reilly, and I would like to welcome you to the
Gifted Resource Program at Independence Middle School.

The I.M.S. gifted resource program serves students in the cluster/resource model. This model provides the potential for teachers to develop challenging differentiated curriculum through a collaborative team effort. In addition, this model promotes understanding of the needs of gifted children for all school staff. Identified gifted students interact with their teachers and classmates in a heterogeneous grouping, while attaining benefits through the modification of content, process and product. Ms. Reilly, the I.M.S. gifted resource teacher provides monthly training to the cluster core teachers in order to facilitate these services. She also works with the students in order to facilitate direct services.
