Dear Parent/Sir/Madam,
Have you heard the news?
Independence is involved in the FundingFactorytm Cartridge/Cell
Phone Recycling Program! This program is FREE and
easy, but it will not work without your support.
How does it work? Instead
of throwing away old cell phones, and the empty cartridges from
your printer, fax machine and even desktop copier, simply donate
them to Independence Middle School and well take it
from there! We will recycle the cartridges through the FundingFactorytm
to earn points to exchange for new technology equipment and supplies!
Did you know that over 300 million
cartridges were thrown away last year alone? Help us turn that waste
into valuable educational equipment and supplies! Donate your old
cell phones, and empty laser and inkjet printer cartridges today!
Together we can make this recycling program a huge success and help
place the Independence Middle School students Ahead of
the Curve in Technology.
Please donate your cell phones
and empty inkjet and laser cartridges by placing them in the collection
boxes found at the following locations: Independence Middle School,
Taylors Do It on Independence, and Chick- Fil-A at Haygood.
Look for the NEW BIG RECYCLE BIN
now located in the Breezeway to the right of the main office building.

We have
surpassed our goal as you can see below. Recycling has enabled us
to purchase four multimedia projectors, six digital cameras, eight
deskjet printers, and
a digital video
camera as well as some software.
Thank
you all for your continued support.
